The mask reliefs found near the theater in Myra, one of the ancient cities of Lycia within the borders of Demre district of Antalya, are the most special mask examples in our country. The original place of the mask/mask reliefs carved into stone is on the three-meter stage frieze of the theater with a capacity of approximately 11,500 people. For the first time in Lycia, the exterior of the stage building was also decorated with reliefs. In the stage building friezes, there are masks depicted with various facial expressions (tragedy-comedy); as well as richly decorated reliefs such as the Goddess Eleuthera, Ganymedes, Zeus' eagle, Mithras, the syren and garlands carried by the menades.
